Fun Interactive Toys

bob a lot1 Fun Interactive ToysMy Jack Russell Terrier, Hud, has been very busy test driving interactive toys. I am always on the lookout for new ways to help dogs get their daily dose of mental stimulation. I get so many calls from dog owners complaining about destructive behavior. Often the culprit is a nippy, teething puppy or a bored dogleft alone all day. No matter what the behavioral issue may be, I always recommend interactive toys as part of the training program. Make your dog an interactive toy fanatic! There are lots of products to choose from, but they are not all created equal. The toy should not be too easy, but not too difficult either. These two, Hud tested and approved, are my new favorites:

Bob-A-Lobob a lot 2 200x300 Fun Interactive Toyst from Star Mark

The Bob-A-Lot reminds of the old Wheeble Whobble kid toys. They wobble, but they don’t fall down!  When Hud eats his breakfast (1/2 cup kibble) out of a bowl, he inhales it in one minute flat. When he eats his breakfast out of this toy, it takes him a full 20 minutes!

The Bob-A-Lot exercises and feeds your dog at the same time!  Dogs of all sizes are able to manipulate the toy to get food or treats out.  The large bottom chamber fits up to three cups of food- enough for a full meal!  The adjustable opening accommodates most types of dog food and allows you to regulate the difficulty level for your dog.  The weighted anti-slip bottom makes makes the toy wobble erratically, enticing your dog to play.
*Not intended as a chew toy.

Busy Buddy Bristle Bone from Premiere

The irresistible, replaceable Gnawhide® treat rings ensure long-lasting enjoyment and are easy to replace. The design of the Bristle Bone makes it impossible for dogs to gorge on treats. Toy unscrews to load treats and clean. Comes packed with another set of natural rawhide treats.
