edgonzalez031 226x300 Noahs Arc PAC Says Commitment to BARC Was Key To Ed Gonzalezs Victory in District H Ed Gonzalez won the special election to fill the Houston City Council District H seat. Noah’s Ark PAC endorsed Gonzalez early on in the race because he is committed to addressing the issues facing District H, the “Corridor of Cruelty” and BARC. Gonzalez reached out to animal welfare advocates and they responded with votes.

In a run-off that turned out more voters than the initial nine candidate election last month, Gonzalez earned 61 percent of the vote, soundly defeating his opponent whose campaign had ignored BARC and who had failed to participate in the PAC’s survey of candidates.

In local races where every vote counts, pet owners, animal rescuers and advocates are not a fringe group, but a highly motivated and informed constituency with the ability to influence and shape election results.

Whether you are an animal rescuer with an empty bank account from vet bills, a pet owner terrified that your dog or cat could end up at BARC or a postal carrier in the nation’s dog bite capital, your life is impacted by Houston ’s failed animal control policies and the lack of leadership at city hall.

Noah’s Ark PAC is committed to seeing that Houston elect leaders to support these initiatives and you can help by becoming a member of Noah’s Ark PAC or by making a contribution. If you are interested in joining or would like to contribute, please email kelly@helpbarc.org for more information.

Noah’s Ark PAC is now screening candidates for the November elections for Houston’s mayor, controller and city council. The results of PAC surveys will be distributed to members and Noah’s Ark PAC will endorse candidates in each of these elections.
