The Houston SPCA and Neiman Marcus Galleria reach a milestone in a very special holiday tradition as they join together to commemorate their 20th Anniversary of Holiday Pet Adoptions. In the last twenty years, thousands of Houston’s homeless pets found homes with the help of this heartwarming, premier event. Once again, playful puppies, kittens, cool cats and canines will adorn the windows of Neiman Marcus Galleria as they wait to be adopted into loving, permanent homes. The unveiling of this year’s platinum holiday adoption extravaganza will take place this Friday, November 27th, at 9:00 am in the mall windows on the first floor of Neiman Marcus Galleria at 2600 Post Oak. This year’s traditional window display is a snow filled winter wonderland full of cuddly canines and felines staying warm in their fancy Santa hats! The larger than life mural is a creation of Houston’s premier artist, Anat Ronen who is known for bringing photographs to life with the stroke of a paintbrush. These furever friends are sure to grab the attention of every holiday shopper interested in adopting a new family member. Pet adoptions will take place beginning Friday, November 27th through Wednesday, December 23rd. After the kick off on Friday, the hours for this year’s holiday adoption event are as follows: • Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm • Sunday November 29th from 1pm to 6pm • Sunday December 6th from Noon to 6pm • Sunday December 13th from 11am to 6pm • Sunday December 20th from 10am to 6pm The cost to adopt will range from $65.00 to $150.00 and includes, a health evaluation; initial vaccinations; rabies vaccinations for animals three months and older; spay / neuter surgery; deworming; heartworm testing for dogs six months and older; feline leukemia testing for cats; microchipping with free lifetime registration; and of course a friend for life! As an added bonus, VCA Animal Hospitals will provide a complimentary overall wellness examination (within five days after adoption) and complimentary 14-day follow-up care for certain conditions to give your pet the very best in medical care.
