Meet Hammy…our winner of the Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort “Grubby Dog” photo contest! We were on the lookout for a dog in need of a warm-water spa bath experience complete with blow dry and nail trim donated by Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort and Hammy’s photo convinced us he could really use a spa day!
According to mom Veronica, “Hammy is such a ham!!!! He’s a rescue bichon, a bichon who I cannot keep in a beautiful bichonly coat because he LOVES to run in the mud!! He’s made a track along the fenceline, so there is no longer any grass, just dirt and since the mud doesn’t slow him down, we let him play in it until he gets tired. When we get rain, we already know we’ll be bathing him!”
We had some very deserving entries and it was a tough choice..there are lots of grubby dogs apparently! Congrats to Hammy and we hope he enjoys his spa day at Kickapoo Ranch and we are sure mom Veronica will love having a clean dog..if only for a moment.
