Lakeland Community Center off Park Rd. & Fry in the Bridgeland Community. The event will start of the dock that extends into Lake Bridgeland (big front lake). Parking will be at Cypress-Ranch High School off Fry (across the street). All those that do not pickup their packet ahead of time must checkin early (before race start) at the big white tent in Festival Park, across from swim exit.
Dogs and masters will jump from a dock that extends about 50 feet out into Lake Bridgeland. The lake is anywhere from 4-8 feet deep throughout. From the entry point at the end of the dock dogs and humans will have about 75-meters to an orange buoy located towards the middle of the lake. Once teams swim around the orange buoy (keeping it on their right) they swim straight into shore about 125-meters further.
We will have kayaks and lifeguards in the water to assist those in need of help or rest. Medical will be on the shore. Those dogs that do not complete, or even start the swim, will be permitted to do the run portion of the event but masters will first be asked to turn in their team’s timing chip.
RUN1-Mile RunAll dogs must be leashed for the entire run. The run is 1-mile and has a hydration station (water, Gatorade, ice) around the 1/2-mile mark. The run is a scenic beautiful run around lake Bridgeland before crossing the finish line and relaxing at post race with food, drink, music and friends.
