Thanks to you, last year’s strut resulted in a lot of wagging tails and money raised! Throw on some comfy shoes, leash up your dog, and join us, once again, for Best Friends Animal Society’s 2nd Annual Strut Your Mutt in Houston.
Who: Anyone who wants to walk the walk – nay, strut their stuff! – for homeless pets in Houston or around the nation
What: A leisurely fundraising dog walk and fun run with your dog, followed by a doggie-themed festival that includes pet contests, photos, doggie goodies, fun activities for the whole family, including food, refreshments and more
Where: TC Jester Park, 4201 W T C Jester Blvd, Houston, TX 77018
When: Saturday, September 20, 2014 Registration opens at 7:00 a.m.
And this isn’t just a fund raiser. At Strut Your Mutt, dogs and their families share a leisurely walk and fun run, followed by a festival for all things dog. Doggie yoga, pet portraits, refreshments, music, contests and post-run pet massages all contribute to this fantastic event geared to raise awareness and funds for homeless pets. Don’t want to be out in the Houston heat, or can’t make the event on Sept. 20th? Please consider being a virtual participant. You can do that from you couch;) But please sign up in May if possible. Sign up to be part of our group (MSRH) and you can Strut with us or even do some fundraising your self if you like. If you want to join our group (no matter what kind of dog you have) please sign up to join MSRH in the Strut your Mutt Houston 2014. You can bring your doggies and enjoy the festivities of the day as well as the Strut your Mutt. There will be Costume contests, Pet/Owner look alike contests, all kinds of fun things to do. So join us. For the month of May your fee to join is $25 and that also can be your donation!! After May, the registration fee goes up to $30. strutyourmutt.org/team/MSRH Miniature Schnauzer Rescue will be Strutting our Mutts and we would love for you to join our team or support us. You do not have to own/foster a schnauzer, or even a dog. Anyone can join or donate. Anyone who donates money will get a letter from MSRH, a non-profit, all volunteer organization as your donations are tax deductible.
