Recurring Adoptions

If you are looking for a new family member, cat or dog, please consider stopping by one of these recurring adoption events to see if you find just the right pet for you! If you would like to submit a recurring event (one time events can be added to the event calendar), please email the information to info@houstonpettalk.com.

Montgomery County Animal Shelter has onsite adoptions outdoors at the shelter! 8535 State Hwy 242, Conroe, Texas 77385, 936-442-7738
Last Saturday of each month from 11am – 3pm.

Buster’s Friends, Inc. has dogs and cats up for adoption every weekend at the Highland Village Adoption Center (next to Williams Sonoma) at 4056 Westheimer.
The center is open Friday-Sunday’s in December.
Fridays (12 p.m-7 p.m)
Saturdays (10 a.m-6 p.m)
Sundays (11 a.m-5 p.m)

HOPE (Homeless & Orphaned Pets Endeavor) has many adorable cats and dogs for adoption. Visit us at these various locations: * PETCO in West U, 5450 Weslayan (Cats on Saturday and Sunday; Dogs on Saturdays only) * PetSmart in Pearland, 3312 Silver Lake Village Drive (Cats on Saturday and Sunday; Dogs on 2nd and 4th Saturday only) * PetSmart at 8380 Westheimer (Cats on Saturday and Sunday; Dogs on 1st, 3rd, 5th Sunday only) * PETCO Sugar Land, 3326 Hwy 6 (Cats on Saturday and Sunday; Dogs on Saturdays only) All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, have had vet check-ups and are current on vaccines. The adoption fee is $75 for cats and $85 for dogs. You can view some of our pets at www.homelesspets.net.

Monthly outdoor Meet & Greet at Cooper Animal Clinic, 1136 Heights Blvd. in the Heights. Come meet some of our adoptable goldens. Approved applicants may adopt at this event. See www.gbgrr.org for more details.

The Homeless Pet Placement League has two adoption sites available for you to come see our cute and adorable dogs and cats – all ready to find their fur-ever home! Visit us either at Petco River Oaks – 2110 South Shepherd at Avalon or the PetsMart Baybrook – 1549 West Bay Area Blvd. – Every Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A fee of $100 is charged to adopt an animal from the HPPL. In the case of dogs, your $100 provides you with a loving pet that has been vaccinated (DHLPP), dewormed, spayed or neutered, and is heartworm free and on once a month heartworm preventative. All of our cats are also vaccinated (FVRCP-C), dewormed, spayed or neutered, and have tested negative for feline leukemia.

Friends of BARC presents Wags to Whiskers every Saturday at BARC from noon to 4 p.m. Join FOB for half-price adoptions, free food and drinks and free seniors for seniors!

    I have a friend who is wants to adopt a dauchaund. Young preferred and not mini.

    I want to adopt a puppy that does not grow to be a big dog. However, I live in Mass how can I adopt a puppy?
