Book Signing May 25 with Susannah Charleson

Join Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue on Tuesday, May 25 in welcoming Susannah Charleson and her Golden Retriever Puzzle to Houston.  Susannah Charleson’s New York Times Best Seller Scent of the Missing chronicles her adventures with Puzzle as members of a Texas-based canine search and rescue team.

Patricia McConnell, author of The Other End of the Leash, says of the book, “…It’s exquisitely written.  Her descriptions of her dogs are laugh out loud funny and right on, and her use of language is so rich and sensory I’m not sure if I want to read her book or eat it.”

Featured this month in People magazine, Susannah chronicles her complex relationship forged with Puzzle as they help in the pursuit and recovery of people who have fallen prey to crime, misadventure, or catastrophe-a teen gone missing, an Alzheimer’s patient wandering in the cold, the debris of the space shuttle Columbia disaster.

The event, sponsored in part by the Greater Houston Golden Retriever Club, will take place at 7:00 p.m. following the club meeting at the French Alliance, historic residence at 427 Lovett Blvd.(at Whitney, one block south of Westheimer) Houston 77006.  Reception provided by Golden Beginnings volunteers will follow. Raffle and prizes.  No charge, and all are welcome.
