Wouldn’t It Be Fun to Live with Lucy, Ricky or Ethel?

[slideshow id=61]Obviously, we are not referring to the television stars of yore (although it might have been fun to live with them, too).  Lucy, Ricky and Ethel are lovable, adoptable dogs, each one looking for a new forever home after being rescued from the streets of Houston by Barrio Dogs, Inc.

Meet Lucy, a reddish-brown lab/chow mix who is about a year old and weighs approximately 50 pounds.  She has received all her vaccines and is heart worm negative.  She is on monthly heart worm and flea prevention and has been spayed.  Lucy is a very sweet and lovable dog who loves to please.  She is very active and loves to romp and play.  She is a very curious dog who loves to investigate everything, sometimes getting into mischief.  She will need some basic socialization training as she is a little mouthy and has a habit of pulling on her leash.  She is smart and has already learned to sit–she is very food motivated!  With a little training, Lucy will make a great companion dog. She would not do well with cats, however, she would benefit from living with another active dog as she is very active and loves to play.

Meet Ricky, a tan-colored lab-mix who is about a year old.  He has received all his vaccines and has been neutered.  He is heart worm negative and receives monthly heart worm and flea prevention.  Ricky is so eager to please and has a lot of love to give. He is a very laid back boy and he craves attention. He is quite intelligent and has already learned to sit and shake. Ricky does need some basic socialization training, but with proper training, he will be an incredible dog.  He would make an excellent companion to any family. He would not want to share his home with cats, but other dogs would be fine.

Meet Ethel, a tan-colored lab-mix who is about a year old.  She weighs approximately 45 pounds and is one happy, healthy dog.  She has received all of her vaccines and is heart worm negative.  She has been spayed and is on monthly heart worm and flea prevention. Ethel is an amazing dog with a very big personality.  She is shy and timid at first, but once she gets to know you, all she wants for you to do is love on her.  She’s eager to please and craves attention and most of all she loves belly rubs.  Ethel is a very smart and inquisitive dog.  She is always up to something as she tends to be quite nosy.  She would benefit from some simple socialization training as she likes to jump up and she can be mischievous, getting into things.  With proper training, Ethel will make an excellent companion dog for anyone.  She would not do well with cats or other critters, but she would love to live with another active dog as she is quite active and loves to play.  Ethel would be a great candidate for agility training as she loves to run and she can jump up on just about anything.  She is an awesome dog!
