On Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 9:00am – 3:00pm, The Galveston Island Dog Show presents A Bark in the Park, a friendly canine competition for for island dogs and their families. The event takes place at Kempner Park, located at 27th and Avenue O. Registration begins at 8:30am with a Blessing of the Dogs at 9:00am. Bring the family and enjoy merchants, artists, food vendors, fly ball demonstration, dog chiropractor, farmer’s market, ask the trainer and more! Ladies, wear your show hats! Proceeds benefit the Galveston Island Humane Society. Dogs must have proof of current vaccinations. No female dogs in season.
