Yet Another BARC Screw Up: It’s Like Groundhog Day

barc_dog“Hair Balls” from the Houston Press once again reports on the insane inhumanity at BARC. The stories of abuse, death, screw-ups, cover-ups, throw-ups and so forth just continue. I can’t wait for a new Houston Mayor! Please people, be sure to vote for someone that makes Animal Welfare at least somewhere on their top ten list of priorities. (Mayoral candidates will be featured in our ¬†October issue of Houston PetTalk).

Here’s hairballs story…read it and weep:

To claim that puppy had rabies is beyond absurd. Volunteers have seen Dr. O kill and behead a cat because it scratched her out of fear when she and her babies were placed next to a Bulldog. Then, BARC claimed they “couldn’t find” the cat when the foster parent showed up to pick the cat up. I’m sure she will claim it had rabies as well. We KNOW that she and others constantly falsify euthanasia records claiming animals are sick or feral when they are not.

What exactly DOES it take for the city to get rid of all of the animal abusers and criminals that work at BARC? We have eye witness after eye witness of abuse, yet the only thing that is ever done is the perpetrators are moved to another Ward to torture yet another group of animals.

The Mayor, City council and all management over BARC should be FIRED for allowing this continue for YEARS. I hope all citizens do just this with their VOTES in a few months. The dead weight needs to leave this city. Vote them out!! We must vote for people who reflect OUR VALUES.
