Weekend Photos From Houston’s #1 Pet Festival: PetFest In Old Town Spring

PetFest 2010 in Old Town Spring, Houston, kicked off today with great weather, lots of animal lovers who brought their pet to the festival or adopted a homeless animal. The costume contest,  sponsored by Houston PetTalk, had over 50 entries!! Our own Michelle Mantor was one of the judges and it was no easy task to choose from the many creative costumed characters including an Irish Wolfhound dressed as a sheep (a wolf in sheep’s clothing), a Greyhound dressed as a bus, Raggedy Ann dolls, witches, clowns, lions and even a weenie dog dressed as a Ninja and Ferret dressed like Green Tarantula!

Lots of action at the PetTalk and MyFuzzbook booth was provided by our Big Spinning Wheel where we passed out prizes to hundreds of participants. Thank you to our sponsors that provided prizes: Arne’s Warehouse, ABC Pet Resort, A Dog’s Life Pet Salon, Urban Tails, Chef’s Buddiez, Aussie Pet Mobile, Canine Health Institute, Gulf Coast Veterinary Services, Houston Dog Ranch and Prestonwood Kennels.

The rescue pet parade was also a big hit. Join us at the event tomorrow for more fun and games! Dock Dogs is located in the back of Old Town Spring, there will be another costume contest, more prize giveaways, a big raffle, demonstrations and tons of adoptable pets. Come see us at our booth, just near the entrance!
