Bunnypalooza Returns To Houston SPCA
Back by popular demand, the Houston SPCA will celebrate the “Year of the Rabbit” to help our many homeless bunnies find furever homes. During the weekend of June 18th through the 19th, from 10am to 6pm, all of our bunnies will be ready to hop home with you at the adoption fee of your choice. That’s right, we will say, “I DO,” to you and your bunny on your chosen adoption fee! The only stipulation is that you must fall madly in love with your new furry bunny friend. In addition, all bunnies will be spayed / neutered and ready to go home with you on the day you adopt! Currently, we have close to 30 homeless bunnies looking for permanent, loving homes. From Californians to Lionheads, and Dwarfs to Dutch rabbits, we have a diverse selection of adorable, adoptable bunnies that are ready to hop home with you!
BunnyPalooza: The Sequel will take place inside the Adoptions Lobby of the Houston SPCA, 900 Portway Drive, where all of our healthy and behaviorally sound adoptable bunnies will be eagerly awaiting their furever home. There are bunnies like Romeo, Jinxie and Babs that have called the Houston SPCA home for many months. In addition, we are currently housing an abundance of bunnies of all ages that have been rescued from cruel situations or surrendered by their previous owners, who are no longer able to care for them.
People often think of rabbits as a caged pet. In reality, they have unique personalities like a cat or dog and make fantastic family companions. They will actively seek attention, can be litter box trained and provide an endless amount of affection and fun. They are quiet animals but can be destructive in the home if not closely watched. If properly fed and cared for, they face few medical problems compared to dogs and cats and can live 10+ years. Upon adoption, your rabbit will be spayed or neutered, which will help to improve certain behaviors and overall health.
Our hope is that each and every single one of our homeless bunnies is able to “hop” home this weekend with their new furever family!
