Meet Noelle (crushed pelvis)
Rescued from the Corridor feeding station route on 12/21. Very sweet 10 month old shepherd/rottie mix. She has a crushed pelvis (among other broken bones) and is recuping at Tracy Animal Hospital – surgery was not recommended afterall as too much healing had already taken place. PLEASE help Noelle!
Meet Ralphie (just do it – foster Ralphie!!)
Rescued from the Corridor feeding station route on 12/19 – YES another. Starved and missing alot of hair and in basically terrible shape. But he’s on the mend now and receiving the medical treatment he needs at Abbott’s. He’s almost ready for neutering and will be soon. This guy is sweet and active and needs some TLC. Help!
Meet Aengus (Celtic for “very strong” …and he is)
Another rescued from the Corridor feeding station route – 12/11. Very, very sweet big boy!! He’s a hefty 66 pounds of boy dog. He’s what ya call a “leaner” ….let him get close enough to you and he leans into you and tries to meld his body with yours! Current on vaccinations and neutered, but strong heartworm positive. He’s in a training program right now and doing well – already mastered leashing walking well and learning sit. He is dog aggressive and needs to be the only animal in a household. Will be ready for heartworm treatment soon.
Meet Bear (aka: Coco)
Rescued from the streets and with heavy heartworm – has completed treatment. Needs a foster to help him continue his rehab to make transition to a perm home easy. He’s a sweet little guy weighing in at only 32 pounds. Probably an Chow/Aussie mix. Neutered and current on vaccinations.
Meet Buster (lovable aloof chow boy)
Need a foster that knows, loves, and understands Chows. This is an awesome dog that needs TLC. Poor Buster….. a neighborhood stray that was doomed to death by heartworms. He’s settling in nice though and coming out of his shell a bit at the kennel but a FOSTER HOME would be so much better for him! Buster is in the middle of heartworm treatment now but cannot be crated.
Meet Johnny (dream boy)
Johnny was either lost or abandoned at a camp site outside of Houston. Luckily he was rescued along with his friend June and brought to Houston to safety. Johnny tested negative for heartworms and was soon neutered and vaccinated. Unfortunately he has been stuck in boarding for over 2 months now. He is a staff and volunteer favorite – he is extremely sweet and lovable. He weighs 46 pounds and is a hound/lab mix.
Meet Swan (sweet as candy)
Sweet and gorgeous Swan was rescued from a high-kill shelter. She was a bag of bones then and had ZERO hair on her body. Luckily she was able to go to a nice foster home in the country with many other dogs. But it turned out that Swan is dog aggressive at times and now we know she needs to be the only dog in a home. She is ready for her own home but if that can’t be found right now – the 2nd best thing would be a foster home to get her out of boarding….she’s been there for too long! Swan is a pitbull/lab mix and weighs 60 lbs and is estimated to be 3-4 years old.
Meet Winter (handsome and sweet)
This gorgeous and young Catahoula boy was recently rescued from the Corridor of Cruelty – 1/2 – Happy New Year. He is heartworm negative, completely vetted and ready to attend CRI’s adoption events. Please open your home and help him get better adjusted before making the transition to his new adoptive home.
GOOD NEWS!!
Corridor Rescue Inc. is now holding adoption events the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month at the following location:
PETCO
4431 FM 1960 W
Houston, TX 77068
Corridor Rescue is in URGENT NEED of donations to cover the CONTINUED BOARDING COSTS for the above 8 dogs!!! That cost could be greatly decreased if a FEW NEW FOSTERS stepped forward. Give it a try – you won’t be sorry! Fostering is a VERY REWARDING experience
