BARC Takes on 2012 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge
From BARC:Beginning April 5, 2012, BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions will be a participant in the Qualifying Heat of the 2012 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. BARC is competing for a chance at more than $500,000 in grant funding, including a grand prize of $100,000. Supporters of BARC can help by voting online at http://votetosavelives.org/ and selecting BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions. Upon your first vote you will need to confirm your email address for your vote to count, then vote EVERYDAY from April 5th – 16th!
The only way for BARC to get into the $100K Challenge is for you – our community – to vote for us. We need a lot of votes because out of all the shelters vying to get into the Challenge, only 50 are going to be accepted, and they’re the ones with the most votes from their community. During the qualifying period, BARC will offer discounted adoptions to anyone who votes at the BARC facility on 3200 Carr Street. One qualifying vote while you visit BARC means a dog adoption is reduced to $20 and a cat adoptoin is only $10. Now there’s a lifesaving, lifegiving effort before the challenge even begins! We need you, Houston, to go to http://votetosavelives.org and vote for BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions. We need you to vote often—like EVERY day from April 5th – 16th! Send the link to your friends and family members and tell them to vote so we can save more lives. It takes less than a minute and your passion to get us into position to save at least 300 more lives this year… and to win BIG for the animals!
Vote for us every day from April 5 through April 16 at www.votetosavelives.org.
The simplest, but most powerful thing you can do to help the BARC Houston shelter, and pets throughout our community, is to talk to your friends, neighbors, and family about caring for pets responsibly. To donate to BARC online via the Houston BARC Foundation, click here.
