DESCRIPTION:National nonprofit Petco Love invites pet lovers in Houston to “Jump into Joy” and meet adoptable shelter pets looking for loving homes. The Jump into Joy Pet Adoption Event at Reliant Arena will bring together 1\,500+ adoptable dogs\, cats\, puppies\, and kittens from 20+ Petco Love partner animal welfare organizations on November 7th and 8th from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. both days. \nThe flagship Jump into Joy Pet Adoption Event is part of Petco Love’s national adoption weekend. The nonprofit organization is joining forces with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation for a national adoption campaign inspired by The Cat in the Hat\, inviting people to embrace the joy\, laughter\, and unexpected adventures that come with bringing a pet into their lives through adoption from local shelters and rescues. Adopters will find low fees on Saturday\, waived adoption fees on Sunday\, and photo-opportunities when they find their new family member. See The Cat in the Hat only in theaters November 6.

DESCRIPTION:Bunny Cafe: Their First Shift\nOur baby bunnies are officially clocking in for their very first shift. \nOn Saturday\, November 14\, we’re turning the Houston Rabbit Resource Center into a Bunny Cafe where you can grab a snack\, find a comfy spot on the floor\, and spend some time with our youngest little employees. \nThe service may be questionable. \nThe waitstaff will be adorable. \nWhy a Bunny Cafe?\nThese babies may be tiny\, but their expenses are definitely not. \nAs they grow\, they need plenty of hay\, pellets\, litter\, enrichment\, veterinary care\, vaccines\, and eventually spay/neuter surgery before they are ready for adoption. \nThe Bunny Cafe is their first fundraiser\, and every ticket\, sponsorship\, tip\, and donation helps us provide everything they need while they grow up in rescue. \nThey provide the customer service. \nYou help cover the benefits package. \nHow It Works\nGuests will reserve a 45-minute Bunny Cafe seating and spend that time relaxing with the babies while they explore and roam around the space. \nWe’ll have pillows\, floor seating\, and a few chairs available so you can get comfortable and let the bunnies come to you. \nYou can sit on the floor. \nYou can lie on the floor. \nYou can become a piece of furniture if a baby bunny decides you are one. \nWhat you can’t do is pick them up. \nOur babies will always get to choose how they interact. Guests may not chase\, grab\, corner\, or pick up the rabbits\, and we ask everyone to give them space whenever they decide they need a break. \nCafe Seatings\nWe’ll have four timed seatings throughout the afternoon: \n12:00 PM to 12:45 PM \n1:00 PM to 1:45 PM \n2:00 PM to 2:45 PM \n3:00 PM to 3:45 PM \nSpace is limited in each seating so the room stays comfortable for both our guests and our tiny staff. \nPlease arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled seating for check-in and a quick review of our bunny interaction rules. \nTickets\nTickets are $30 per person. \nThis event is for ages 8 and up. \nGuests under 16 must attend with an adult\, and every guest needs their own ticket. \nChildren attending should be comfortable sitting calmly and following our bunny interaction rules. \nYour ticket includes your 45-minute Bunny Cafe experience and light refreshments for our human guests. \nSnacks for Humans + Tips for the Staff\nWe’ll have a small selection of snacks and drinks available for our human guests during the event. \nAnd of course\, our employees expect tips. \nGuests will have opportunities to make additional donations and “tip” the babies with bunny-safe treats approved by HRR. \nBecause these babies are still young\, they will only be offered foods that are already part of their normal diet. Please do not bring outside treats or feed the rabbits anything that has not been provided or approved by HRR. \nSponsor a Bunny Cafe Table\nWant to help our smallest employees cover even more of their first big bills? \nYou can sponsor a Bunny Cafe table for $150. \nTable sponsorships help support the babies’ food\, supplies\, veterinary care\, enrichment\, vaccines\, and future spay/neuter surgeries. \nTable sponsors receive: \n\nYour name or business logo displayed at a sponsored Bunny Cafe area\nYour business logo featured right here on our Bunny Cafe event page\nA sponsor shout-out and tag on Houston Rabbit Resource social media\nRecognition in our post-event sponsor thank-you\n\nPersonal and family sponsorships are welcome too. Instead of a business logo\, we can display your name or a short “Sponsored by” message. \nBusiness sponsors should send us a high-quality logo by November 8 to guarantee inclusion on printed event signage. \nPlease note that table sponsorship does not include admission to the Bunny Cafe. Tickets must be purchased separately if you would also like to attend. \nEvery sponsorship allows us to put more of the money raised through this event directly toward their care. \nA Few Things to Know Before You Visit\nOur priority is making sure this experience is fun for our guests while keeping the babies safe and comfortable. \nPlease remember: \n\nRabbits may not be picked up.\nPlease do not chase or corner the babies.\nLet the bunnies approach you on their own terms.\nOnly treats provided or approved by HRR may be fed to the rabbits.\nOutside pets are not permitted.\nSome babies may take breaks or sit out if they need rest.\nPlease follow any instructions from HRR staff and volunteers during your visit.\n\nMost of the Bunny Cafe experience happens at floor level\, so wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting a little bunny fur or hay on. \nWe will have chairs available for guests who are unable or prefer not to sit on the floor. \nHelp Them Through Their First Shift\nOur babies have a lot of growing to do before they are ready for their forever homes. \nUntil then\, we get to make sure they have everything they need. \nCome spend part of your Saturday with them\, grab a snack\, tip your server\, and help us cover some of those very large grocery bills. \nSaturday\, November 14\n12:00 PM to 4:00 PM\nHouston Rabbit Resource Center \nTiny servers. \nVery large grocery bills.
