October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month! If you are looking for a dog, now is a great time to go for it. However, we know sometimes there is just not enough room in your personal shelter for another fur baby, so please consider some other ways that you can help our fuzzy friends.
– Donations – Almost all shelter and rescue organizations will accept donations from the public. Try starting a funding drive at work and see if you can get everyone involved!
– Volunteer Work – It doesn’t take a large time commitment and can even be just an hour a week walking dogs or picking up at a shelter.
– Fostering – Many rescue groups and shelters need help caring for critters until they can find a forever home.
