With female empowerment in mind, Jimisu and Her Beauties seek to call attention to Houston’s No-Kill Animal Rescue Shelters and show the world that it’s okay to be Foxy After Forty by creating an annual wall calendar featuring some of Houston’s most pet-friendly over-forty women-turned-swimsuit-models. The project is now in its fourth year and going strong.

My dream has always been to save Fur Babies and at the same time to promote and empower women over 40. I truly believe Jimisu and Her Beauties have changed the way people look at mature women and it makes me so incredibly proud. We are paving the way for younger women to grow into beautiful mature women without feeling the “stamp of taboo” for being over 40. I am so proud and honored that I have been able to bring a women that never dreamed they could be models into this arena. I hope in some small way I have helped to lift them up and make them know and feel how incredible they are!
