Small business owners searching for pet-friendly office space should look no further than a brand new collaborative workspace in Houston’s historic East End. The 35,000-square foot former warehouse contains a variety of office sizes and multiple common areas, and dog-friendly amenities include a courtyard and dog run.
Flexible suite sizes at Headquarters can accommodate anywhere from one to 21 employees, and begin at $750 per month, inclusive of fiber optic internet, reception services, 24/7 access and private parking. All Headquarters tenants have unlimited access to approximately 15,000 square feet of shared amenities including a community kitchen, six conference rooms with flat screen TVs, a game room with beer on tap, shuffleboard, ping pong, darts and Pacman, and a 3,000-square foot interior courtyard.
The Headquarters team developed a cluster strategy to create six distinct environments within Headquarters: Boiler Room, Loop, The Cloud, Bull Pen, Wheelhouse and War Room. The décor and finishes change to encapsulate each theme, most dramatically in the glass-walled conference rooms that anchor each cluster and more subtly in the suites. Modular seating vignettes and phone booths are scattered throughout the corridors, giving employees the flexibility to work independently or huddle outside of their offices.
Headquarters was developed by brother and sister duo Peter and Devin Licata, both native Houstonians. They were inspired to create Headquarters while Devin lived in Denver, where creative office space abounds due to the city’s thriving tech and start-up scene.
“We’re totally dog friendly – as long as your dogs are friendly,” Devin says. Her five-year-old rescue dog Edie – who was found at Sterling High School – warmly welcomes guests to Headquarters, and is the official director of canine relations for the property.
