An unfortunate event has come to our attention, and we feel compelled to issue the following warning.
Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department are seeking information on the person or persons who have been leaving poson wrapped in dog treats or slices of cheese in people’s yards. Some poisoned cheese was left in a yard across from a playground.
At least 6 dogs have been poisoned and it is believed Stychnine was used. Symptoms can start within 15 minutes to an hour after exposure. Seek immediate medical or veterinary attention.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713.222.8477 tips hotline or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the arrest of any suspect in this case. Tips can also be sent by text message – Text TIP610 plus your tip to CRIMES (274637). All tipsters remain anonymous.
