DOG-FRIENDLY FAMILY FUN WALK
TO BENEFIT LOCAL HOUSTON CHARITIES
Houston’s BARC Foundation and local American Legion post to benefit from
“Walk & Wag” event; part of a national Purina® Dog Chow® Brand Dog Food promotion
WHAT: Dog-lovers and veterans unite as they join Purina® Dog Chow® for a morning of family fun while giving back and getting active. Purina® Dog Chow® will host “Walk & Wag,” a free dog-friendly one-mile fun walk to benefit BARC and American Legion Post 560, both located in Houston. Those who aren’t walking will be able to enjoy music, giveaways and a variety of pup-inspired activities.
Following the fun walk, Purina® Dog Chow® will present donations to BARC and American Legion Post 560 on behalf of promotion winner and local resident Lauren Doak.

ADDITIONAL: This year, Purina® Dog Chow® Brand Dog Food dared dog owners to give their better tasting than ever dog food formula a try. In return, the brand asked consumers to dare them back. After thousands of creative submissions, three Grand Prize dares were chosen to be executed. Aside from having their dare completed, Grand Prize winners receive $5,000, a year’s supply of Purina® Dog Chow® Brand Dog Food and a two-year supply of Purina® Dog Chow® Brand Dog Food for one dog donated to a local animal shelter in their community.
