Girl Scout Troop 11355 is sponsoring a Pet Food Drive to benefit the seniors of Montgomery County Texas (Houston area) through The Friendship Center this Saturday, August 13 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Donations can be dropped off at Barker Street beginning today.All donated food will become a part of The Friendship Center’s Meals on Wheels program to be delivered to homebound seniors to help feed their pets. For some of these folks, their pet is the only family they have, and with limited resources, many would go without in order to take care of their animals.All brands of food for cats or dogs will be accepted. Please keep the bags or cans to 20 pounds or less for easy lifting.
