Making honey is only one awesome element of what honeybees do for our environment. In our July issue, read about local beekeeper Mark Anderson’s honey harvesting process, the importance of bees in pollination and the many fruits and vegetables they make possible. Also, the bee population is declining which is a problem of potentially serious consequences.
Did you know that the honey produced by bees can also be medicinal? It can even be used on wounds as an antisepctic! While interviewing Mark and having fun at our photo shoot with Evin Thayer, we also took some video so you can see how simple the process is to harvest and the beautiful honey produced by these fascinating creatures. Enjoy!
