The Homeless Animal Partnership Initiative is excited to announce its upcoming event, the HAPI Family Pet Festival on July 17th, 2010 from 11am – 3pm at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, located at 1656 Blalock Road, Houston TX 77080.
Numerous rescues featuring pure breed and mix breed dogs will be available. Weather permitting, some cats will be available as well. Most rescues will have dogs available who have already been spayed/neutered and current on all vaccinations and in some cases microchipped. This is a great time to adopt a new pet.
This is also a great opportunity to support many of the rescues who work tirelessly to save thousands of lives of homeless pets every year. Not ready to adopt? Please still consider coming by and donating to one or more of the various rescues, who cannot do it without your support. And to ensure you have a great time, we will have a moonbounce, face painting, music and popcorn! And if you adopt, you’ll get your picture taken with your new pet.
We look forward to seeing you and your family at this fun filled, life saving event.

The Homeless Animal Partnership Initiative (HAPI) is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to help save the lives of homeless pets by holding adoption events around the city of Houston that can be attended by existing pet rescues and shelters. HAPI also visits various civic clubs and neighborhood associations, to speak on the importance of responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter, as well as how neighborhoods can help lower the number of homeless and abused pets in their area.
