“LOVE IS IN THE AIR”: GIVE A HOMELESS ANIMAL A SECOND CHANCE

HOUSTON ( February 7, 2011) – This Valentine’s Day weekend, five Houston area animal welfare organizations are teaming up to help thousands of homeless and deserving animals find permanent, loving, forever homes.  The Houston Humane Society (HHS), Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), HCPHES Veterinary Public Health, the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (HSPCA), and BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions (BARC) encourage Houstonians to have a heart and adopt a homeless animal this February.  February 10th – 14th, each shelter will offer extra special furry Valentine adoption packages to help canines and felines from all over the Houston area find their true love.  Adoption policies, costs, promotions, date of promotions, and shelter hours vary.  Make sure to contact each participating shelter for more information, or speak with a  representative from each shelter at a joint press conference:
