Meadowlake Pet Resort is now accepting registration forms for training classes in 2011.  Meadowlake Trainer Tori Hankey will begin the Puppy Prep class on January 22, 2011 at 10 AM.  “The curriculum covered in this class consists of basic commands and house manners,” explains Tori.  “Socialization is also an important aspect of developing a happy and healthy puppy.  It’s important not to assume that your dog will learn proper behavior on its own.  Obedience taught at an early age can prevent unwanted behaviors from developing.”

Tori will begin the Hound Diploma Class (beginner) on January 27, 2011 at 7 PM.  This class will cover the same curriculum as in Puppy Prep, but will be geared towards adult dogs.  The Canine Masters (intermediate) Class will begin January 11, 2011 at 7 PM.  Tori shares, “We work on adding distance, distraction and duration to everything learned in the Puppy Prep or Hound Diploma courses in order to increase reliability.  In addition, we build their vocabulary by teaching new commands to expand our ability to communicate with them.”  For a full list of the curriculum please visit Meadowlake’s website at
