Memorial Day – July 4th, 2012Rover Oaks is hosting it’s 2nd annual Operation: War Dogs donation drive benefiting The Texas Chapter of United States War Dogs Association, also known as US Military K-9 Fund. 100% of donations made to US Military K-9 fund go the military working dogs who risk their lives every day to protect our troops and our country. Their main focus is putting together car packages or “deployment packages”, consisting of the goggles, boots, cooling vests, medications, grooming supplies and bedding they need to do their jobs longer and better, according to their handlers. Last year, Rover Oaks’ Operation: War Dogs raised over $6,500; this year they hope to raise $10,000. Rover Oaks will match 10% of all money raised, to a total of $50,000, through Operation: War Dogs.
