Celebrity television and book author Dr. Marty Becker will be signing his new book, “Your Cat: The Owner’s Manual,” from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, at Petco, 22511 State Hwy 249, Houston, 77070.  The first chapter of the book is available on www.vetstreet.com.

Dr. Becker has been a popular contributor to “Good Morning America” for 16 years, is the resident veterinarian on “The Dr. Oz Show,” and is the pet expert for AARP.  Most recently, Dr. Becker is a veterinary contributor and spokesperson for vetstreet.com, the top website for veterinarian-reviewed pet-care information.  He is a contributor to Parade magazine and is the author of “Your Dog: The Owner’s Manual” (Grand Central Life & Style; May 2011), which is now out in paperback. Dr. Becker has co-written a number of books with pet journalist Gina Spadafori.   “Your Cat: The Owner’s Manual: Hundred of Secrets, Surprises, and Solutions for Raising a Happy, Healthy Cat” is published by Grand Central Life & Style.
