Launched in 2000, Houston PetTalk began as a small newsletter offering local pet news and articles. As the pet industry blossomed, so did PetTalk! With a mission to promote animal welfare through awareness and educational information, PetTalk forged relationships with the welfare community including shelters and rescues groups. Together with the community, PetTalk created a platform to promote adoption and proper care of pets through articles and sponsoring events. Additionally, PetTalk’s mission provides a platform for local businesses to promote their products and services.
Over the years, the publication grew to a monthly 60 page glossy magazine, distributed to over 1000 locations in Greater Houston offering news, events, articles, feature stories, wildlife education, shopping guides and more. PetTalk has continued to expand throughout the years to include a website, bi-monthlly newsletter, social media (Instagram, Facebook and YouTube) and event production.
As the definitive source for everything pet in Houston, PetTalk is an integral part of a vibrant pet community that has made Houston a better place for animals and the people who love them to live and thrive!
